All the dry ingredients and more that you need to easily make your own large indulgent Christmas Cake this year. No need to buy whole bags of ingredients and have the rest sitting in your cupboard going to waste. The recipe is based on a Delia Smith recipe.
This is a large cake which will see you well through Christmas and beyond! It can be frozen if you can’t get through it all.
You can ‘feed’ your Christmas cake with brandy for weeks or even months before Christmas. But even a week or two is sufficient. Feeding isn’t essential if you prefer to eat your cake without alcohol.

Mixed Dried Fruit (Currants, Mixed Chopped Peel, Raisins, Sultanas)
Organic Plain Flour or Gluten Free Flour spice mix containing organic ground nutmeg, organic ground mixed spice, and a pinch of salt.
Organic Dark Soft Brown Sugar
1 x lemon, 1 x orange
You will need: 4 large eggs, 225g spreadable butter, and Brandy or Armagnac to ‘feed’ your cake (if using). 20cm round loose-based cake tin and some baking parchment.
Choose paper bags or returnable glass jars (the treacle will be in a jar for you to keep).
Allergens: Standard version contains Wheat. Both versions contain nuts. Packed in an area that also handles nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds and gluten.
