Gram (ChickPea) Flour

From: £0.38

Description

Gram flour is a fine yellow flour made from grinding chickpeas. It is traditionally used in Indian cooking to make samosas, sweets and batter for bhajis.

Gram flour is gaining popularity with the gluten free and vegan communities. It’s another flour to add to your culinary arsenal of alternatives whether you are gluten free or not.

We often make gram flour ‘pizzas’ as a quick-to-make lunch. Allow 75g of gram flour per person. Whisk one part gram flour with one part water and some salt. You’ll need the salt as the gram flour does have a strong taste. Spoon a ladleful into a frying pan as you would a pancake. Once bubbles start forming on the top, flip over to cook the other side. Top with tomato puree, cheese and veg of your choice.

We’ll be adding more gram flour recipes to the blog soon.
