Cumin is a member of the carrot family from North Africa. The seeds resemble caraway seeds but are hot and pungent. Widely used in Central American, North American and Indian cooking. Best added at the start of cooking, use in curries, dips and soups.
Buying organic spices ensures that they are not contaminated by any pesticides, chemicals, irradiation, fillers, GMOs, or chemical additives. You are sure to notice the difference in flavour and smell compared to supermarket spices.
