Organic millet is gluten free grain widely culitvated throughout the world and is gaining popularity in in the UK.
Organic millet can be used as substitute for wheat, barley, and rye in gluten-free diets. It is a good source of carbohydrates, dietary fiber, and various nutrients such as magnesium, potassium, and B vitamins. Millet is also a good source of plant-based protein, making it a valuable addition to vegetarian and vegan diets.
We like the clean, delicate flavour and light texture this gluten free grain gives.
You can use it as you would quinoa or couscous. Works well as a side or in one pot stews. It makes a nice change if you want to vary your carbs throughout the week. Organic Millet can be used in vegan, gluten free traybake.

Cooking Instructions: Cook in a similar way to Quinoa. Rinse before use. Add 1 part organic millet to 2 parts water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Too much water added during cooking or prolonging the cooking time will turn the grain in to a thick paste so be careful to keep an eye on it.
