Long grain rice, as the name suggests, has grains that are long and slim. When cooked, the grains tend to remain separate, and the finished result is usually fairly dry and firm. Brown rice, being a wholegrain version is higher in protein, and fibre than it’s white counterpart.
Long grain rice is cheaper and similar to Basmati Rice. The two can be used interchangeably. Great for steaming, stir fries or curries.
Rinse before washing to remove any powder leftover from the milling process.
Allergens: Packed in an area that also handles nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds and gluten.
Storage: Cool and dry, away from direct light and strong odours.
